Some of our students took a trip to Camp Kysoc to have an outdoor classroom today. They got a break from the four walls and fluorescent lights of their normal classrooms, and instead got to enjoy the beauty of nature. While at Kysoc they learned about cartography, seeing the world from an animal's perspective, and how to perform dramatic literature. There was also a scavenger hunt and a station for the students to write thank you notes to teachers and other faculty members in the school.

The sixth grade students were looking forward to a fun Field Day in the sun, but the weather had other plans. They were still able to get outside in between the rain and enjoy the last Tuesday of the school year.

The students and staff at CCMS have been working hard, getting ready for the KSA test. On Monday, May 12th, we held an event to encourage students to give their best efforts on the test. Teachers gave words of encouragement to our students. The students came up onto the stage and left their mark by adding their thumbprints into our KSA book. Then the students put the “Y” in yellow, the score we’re aiming for in this year's KSA test.

📢Carroll County Schools is hosting a public forum on Monday, May 19 in the Carroll County Middle School auditorium to hear your thoughts on a proposed 11.8 cent property tax increase dedicated ONLY to facility construction and renovation. 💡Why? Because our students deserve modern classrooms, expanded preschool access, and safe, updated spaces to learn and grow. 🗣️No decisions will be made that night, this is just a listening session. It will last from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Speakers will be limited to 3 minutes. Please see the op-ed written by Superintendent Casey Jaynes as well as the forum's procedures. 🏫Let's work together to build the future our students deserve!

Today is School Communicators Day! At Carroll County Schools, we’re fortunate to have an incredible communications team that goes above and beyond every day. Under the leadership of Jennifer Willhoite, Director of Public Relations, this team works tirelessly to highlight the amazing work happening across our district and to keep our community informed and connected. Please excuse this graphic made by the Director of Technology. He's definitely not a graphic design expert, unlike Jennifer and our communications team.

Hello Panther Family! As our district continues to grow and improve, we recognize that effective communication is essential. It's a key part of all four foundations in our strategic planning process—and your input is critical. We want to better understand how you prefer to receive information, what topics matter most to you, how often you’d like to hear from us, and other important aspects of communication. This survey is designed for parents/guardians, students, staff, administration and community members to share their perspectives. The feedback we gather will directly shape our communication strategies and guide the development of action steps within our strategic plan. Your voice matters in helping us move forward together. Thank you in advance for your time and input. We will share the results of the survey after it closes on May 24. Please use the link below to access the survey. https://forms.gle/iMHNKG7jWvhAier97
