The CCHS Cross Country team competed at the Grant County Invitational this weekend.
Panther runners went up against more than 130 contestants. None of Carroll County’s athletes placed. The top five scores of each team count toward their cumulative score.
The meet results were:

Several Carroll County High School students participated in the Swiss Wine Festival parade today. Keagan Hatton and Rileigh Darnold were the CCHS Ambassadors and they were accompanied by members of the cheerleading squad and soccer team, Hannah Weedman was the Edelweiss Teen Princess and the CCHS Band of Gold performed. Carroll County High School has rescheduled its Site-Based Decision Making (SBDM) Council meeting until Aug. 29 following a medical emergency at the school yesterday. The SBDM will meet at 4 p.m. in the high school library. The meeting is open to the public.

Good afternoon. We have had an emergency medical situation at CCHS. There is not any threat to our community.

CCHS alum Vanessa Birchfield will be singing the national anthem at the Florence Y'alls game on Aug. 29. This will be her seventh year performing at the venue. If you're not busy, venture north to see one of our former Panthers!



The Carroll County Cross Country Team participated in the Backwoods Invitational at Trimble County on Saturday. The boys team finished 12th out of the 19 high school teams present. The girls did not have enough athletes to qualify for a team score.

“Overall, this was a good showing for our first meet of the season on one of the more difficult courses that we will see,” said Coach Joseph Creager.
The next meet is Saturday August 26 at Grant County.


CCHS Football started its season with a resounding win, 36-12, against Western. Students and fans honored Bryce Stewart, who wore 68 for the Panthers.






Carroll County Schools welcomed staff who are new to the district or new to their building recently with presentation of a mug and a CC pin. A booth will be set up the first few days of school to collect these forms from student drivers. All students must have this two-page form on file and must have a parking pass displayed in their vehicle.
Students are only permitted to park in the large lot between the sports fields. No students may park at the Area Technology Center or Cartmell Elementary.
There is no fee for student parking permits.
