The Carrollton Police Department and the School Resource Officers who serve all of Carroll County Schools spent time at Carroll County High School today. They discussed tactical plans in the event there is an emergency at the high school. Similar plans are underway for all schools so our staff and students will be protected should the need arise.

The Carroll County High School Boys’ Varsity Soccer team secured its first win at the Bluegrass State Games this weekend. They defeated South Laurel 4-1, tied with Holy Cross and fell to Dunbar.
The Boys’ Junior Varsity team also fared well, winning one and losing two. High School soccer begins its season on Aug. 1 with a scrimmage at Meade County.

Carroll County Schools is developing a plan for busing in light of the weight restrictions on the Kentucky River Bridge between Carrollton and Prestonville.
Buses will not be utilizing the bridge, but bus transportation will be available at centralized locations on the west end of the county.
The transportation department has planned an early August release for detailed busing plans. Please check our social media frequently for updates.
