A group of CCHS students attended a leadership conference sponsored by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. Each student athlete was nominated by their coach to attend the conference. We're proud of the leadership each of these student athletes shows!

Tomorrow's dress-up day for CCHS Homecoming Week!

A number of Carroll County High School employees became CPR Certified recently. CCHS School Nurse Brittney Crawford offers the certification to any employee who is interested.

CCHS will crown its Homecoming King and Queen on Friday. The court will be announced at 7 p.m. before the game starts. The candidates include: Yarley Gonzales Salas, Madisen Groves, Calli Hoopengarner, Kelby Maiden, Lili Short, Blayden Booker, Kane Lewis, Parker Mumphrey, Landon Supplee and Coy Willhoite. The freshman prince and princess are Dillan Davis and Skylar Martin; the sophomore prince and princess are Treavin Shovlin and Caylee Mefford; and the junior prince and princess are Brayden Stewart and Skyler Robbins.

The open house for our heavy equipment simulator will be Thursday, September 26 from 3-7 p.m. in the VR (Virtual Reality) Room at Carroll County High School. Enter the building through the gymnasium doors and directional signs will be posted. Our partners and the public will be able to check out our new Vortex Advantage from CMLabs, which simulates overhead cranes, an articulated dump truck, compact track loader, excavator, and forklift. The open house will be part of Carroll County High School's fall homecoming activities, which will include the homecoming parade through town, a volleyball game in the gymnasium, and a tailgate party in the parking lot. We also hope to have some actual heavy equipment on site for the younger crowd to inspect.

Carroll County Middle School is hosting tryouts for the boys' basketball team beginning Sept. 23.

The CCHS boys' golf team competed against Owen County for senior night on Tuesday. Coy Willhoite and Dillan Human were recognized by the CCHS team.

Madi Groves and Coy Willhoite were recognized by the Carroll County Board of Education tonight. The pair were the CCHS Ambassadors to the Swiss Wine Festival recently. In addition, Madi has earned her State FFA Degree and Coy was named to the East-West All Star Baseball team.
