Career Cluster

CCHS students participated in a Career Cluster event Friday involving arts and media careers. It featured musicians, artists, photographers, graphic designers and a journalist/public relations professional.

The Career Clusters are planned throughout the year based on a student’s You Science aptitude test results. You Science is a tool used to identify what careers and areas of study are compatible with a student. In turn, students are selected to attend a Career Cluster based on those results.

The presenters at Career Clusters are typically from within the community.

“We’re always open to developing new community partners,” said Jeff Fremin, Work-Based Learning Coordinator/School Community Liaison.

He said events like this are connectors to developing relationships between students and potential employers. Anyone interested in opportunities such as finding summer employees, mentoring students, speaking at career fairs and career clusters, volunteering in school or providing volunteer opportunities for students should contact Fremin at jeff.fremin@carroll.kyschools.us.
