Craig Joins Carroll County High School as Assistant Principal Craig

Mr. David Craig was named the new Assistant Principal for CCHS in July of 2022. “We welcome David Craig back to Carroll County High School. His knowledge of and relationship with the students, parents and faculty of CCHS will be a valuable asset to the high school achieving the vision and goals set by Ms. Sutter.” says Casey Jaynes, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools.

Walker Joins District as Director of Special Education Walker

Mr. Matt Walker has been named the new Director of Special Education on August 1, 2022. “We welcome Matt Walker to Carroll County Schools. We believe that during the recruitment, research and interview process that Mr. Walker will be a great asset to the faculty, staff and most importantly the students of Carroll County.” says Casey Jaynes, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools. “His background knowledge and experience in special education brings a great overall perspective to our school district team.” 

Anderson Joins District as Lady Panthers Coach Anderson

Mr. Scott Anderson has been named the new Head Coach of Carroll County High School Lady Panther Basketball program in July.. “We welcome Coach Anderson to Carroll County Schools. His passion for students shows in both his experience in working with student athletes and from discussions with him about his new role.” said Casey Jaynes, Superintendent of Carroll County Schools.

Morris-Dean to lead technology dept. Zachary Morris-Dean

Carrollton, Ky. – June 27, 2022 – Zachary Morris-Dean is returning to the Carroll County School District in the district technology coordinator role, having previously served as network administrator from 2012 – 2021. He is taking on the position from Robin Stephenson, who is the new principal of Carroll County Middle School.


“We are thrilled to have Mr. Morris-Dean returning to the school district in this role,” said Incoming Superintendent Casey Jaynes. “He is an incredible technology leader in the state, who has only sharpened his skills further with recent private sector experience. This is a big win for our students, our staff, and our community.”

Legion boosts effort to improve Cartmell playground Legion presents check to Cartmell

Carrollton, Ky. – June 22, 2022 – With a $2,500 donation, American Legion Post 41 is helping Cartmell Elementary make its playground more inclusive, fun and safe. Additionally, thanks to the City of Carrollton allowing Cartmell to make an application in its stead for a Land Water Conservation Grant, donations toward the playground are matched dollar-for-dollar, up to a total expenditure of $80,000. Therefore, the Legion’s $2,500 donation will have a $5,000 impact.
