District to distribute meal kits this summer

The Carroll County School District will be distributing meal kits to children this summer. Families may pick up meals from Carroll County High School from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on distribution days. All children under the age of 18 are eligible. Meal kits consist of five breakfasts, five lunches and a half gallon of milk per child.

School district personnel will distribute meal kits from the front entrance of Carroll County High School on the following dates:

- June 1              
- June 7           
- June 14         
- June 21    
- June 28
- July 6
- July 12
- July 19
- July 26

Six CCHS seniors earn double diplomas 

Carrollton, Ky. - May 5, 2021 - Six Carroll County High School seniors are earning two diplomas this month, thanks to a partnership between Jefferson Community and Technical College and the Carroll County School District. Devin Benecke, Mallory Gross, Gabriella Hembree, Grace Long, Kaitlyn Osborne and Lily Young have fulfilled the requirements to earn both a high school diploma and an associate's degree. Benecke, Gross and Hembree were based at the iLead Academy. Students took high school and college classes during the past four years.

Stephenson moves to technology lead Robin Stephenson

Carrollton, Ky. - April 20, 2021 - Robin Stephenson is moving to the district technology coordinator role for the Carroll County School District. Stephenson has served as the assistant principal of Cartmell Elementary since 2019. She is taking on the position from Cindy Johann, who is retiring after serving as DTC since 2005.

District wins PEAK Award, Board recognized

 

Carrollton, Ky. - January 19, 2021 - Every January, communities across Kentucky recognize school board members for their service during School Board Recognition Month. For the Carroll County Board of Education, though, this January is more special than usual. The success of the Double C Farm at Camp KYSOC led to the district winning the Fall 2020 PEAK Award from the Kentucky School Boards Association.
