🌸✈️ Spring Break planning is right around the corner! Before you book those trips, please remember: the first week listed as Spring Break (March 30–April 3) may be used for inclement weather make-up days.❗️📅
Please avoid scheduling vacations during this week. Students who miss during these make-up days will receive unexcused absences. Thank you for helping us keep learning on track! 💙🏫

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Dear Families,
Cartmell Elementary students will be taking the iReady Reading and Mathematics Winter Diagnostic when we return from Thanksgiving break. Students complete this important assessment three times per year. The assessment helps us identify where students are currently performing academically, and is used to make important grouping decisions related to guided reading and guided math, and determines the skills students are assigned within their iReady MyPath. Please encourage your child to put forth their best effort on this important assessment. Our testing hype theme is "Rock the Diagnostic" and student performance on this assessment will give them VIP access to exciting incentives- see the attached image for details! We appreciate your support and can't wait to see your child ROCK THE DIAGNOSTIC!

2024-25 CARTMELL YEARBOOKS HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED!
A change in yearbook vendors last year created a few design challenges and timeline shifts, but we think students will be excited and pleased with the results! If you purchased a yearbook last year, look for it to come home tomorrow or Thursday--they will be distributed directly to students by Mrs. Catt. If your 5th grader purchased one last year, their books will be delivered to CCMS by the end of this week.
There is a limited supply of extra books available for purchase at $20 each. Please contact barbara.catt@carroll.kyschools.us for information.

Hello Panther Families!
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We believe in being transparent and making sure every family knows what to expect in case of an emergency. Please take a moment to review this letter outlining our reunification procedures , which are the steps we’d follow to safely reunite students and families after an emergency.
