Cartmell Elementary hosted a VIP Celebration for current 4th graders who scored Proficient or Distinguished on the 2023-24 KSA (Kentucky Summative Assessment) Test. These students were recognized school wide during a Walk of Fame in the hallways, where they were congratulated with cheers and high fives from teachers and fellow students. They were then escorted to VIP seating for the recognition assembly, where their classmates and parents were waiting to celebrate their success. Each of these academic leaders were recognized with a certificate and "bling" as they walked the red carpet in celebration.

All of our schools will host Veterans Day celebrations on Monday, Nov. 11. Please see the respective flyer for each school's events and time of ceremony.





Cartmell Elementary held a house assembly and costume dress-up day last week. Students were sorted into houses and staff and students played a few games. (More photos on the District Facebook page.)

Panther families, a reminder that school is not in session on Nov. 4 and 5.


The Carroll County Extension Service and Carroll County Public Library are collaborating to allow children to experience what it's like to vote. Children are invited to "vote" with their parents at the library on election day.


It's time to start preparing for the annual food drive! All donations benefit the Carroll County Food Pantry.


Some Cartmell scientists participated in an 🦉Owl Investigation during Club Day today! Ms. Long and Mrs. Catt hosted the investigators as they dissected owl pellets and learned the sounds of native Kentucky owls.

Students have been learning about digital citizenship and internet safety in Media Specials. In recognition of KY Safe Schools Week, they signed the online pledge!




Cartmell Elementary students took the Safe Schools Pledge this week in observance of Safe Schools Week. They also heard a presentation on being safe from SRO Laman "Pop" Stark and talked about safety as part of their social emotional learning time.




Cartmell Elementary has postponed its parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Thursday.
