Working in pairs, the CCMS fifth graders explored Camp KYSOC to find solids, liquids, and gases during the annual outdoor classroom day. They spotted everything from bumpy rocks šŖØ to shimmering puddles š§ and even the invisible air around them šØ. Then they described each oneās unique properties, such as a brown, hard and bumpy acorn.

CCHS Senior Masen Chandler organized a voter registration drive after experiencing government in action at the state and federal level. Masen was selected to represent Owen Electric Cooperative in the annual Kentucky Electric Cooperativeās Youth Tour of Frankfort and Washington, D.C. this summer. His efforts saw nine of his peers become registered to vote for the first time. Carroll County Clerk Danielle Kinman, whose office is charged with registering voters, assisted Masen during the drive. He was also interviewed for a story by Spectrum TV during the drive.
