Carrollton, Ky. – July 7, 2022 - New CCMS principal Robin Stephenson has selected Will Yager to be the next assistant principal of Carroll County Middle School. Yager has served in the Carroll County School District since 2015, when he began his teaching career as a Project-Based Learning Teacher at Carroll County Middle School.
“Mr. Yager is a wonderful teacher and leader at Carroll County Middle School,” said Stephenson. “He is well-liked by both students and staff, and I am very happy to have him join the CCMS administrative team. He excels at meeting people where they are and in helping them to be their best. He’s a perfect fit for our assistant principal position.”
Yager began his teaching career in 2015 as a Project-Based Learning Teacher at Carroll County Middle School. After that, he shifted to Carroll County High School, where he served as a reading intervention facilitator as well as a facilitating teacher in the Spark Academy. In 2018 he returned to the middle school, where he taught eighth-grade social studies. Yager has been involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including serving as boys golf coach, boys basketball assistant coach, assistant varsity baseball coach, academic team coach, and more.
“CCMS has been a great place to grow as a teacher and as a leader,” Yager said. “I’m excited to work with the students and staff in this new role. I have been fortunate to work in several different programs in our school district. CCMS is my home, and I am very thankful for this opportunity to serve in a new way.”
After graduating from Carroll County High School in 2010, Yager attended Georgetown College, where he majored in political science and secondary social studies education. He subsequently earned a Master of Arts in education from University of the Cumberlands in 2017 followed by a Rank 1 in Asbury University’s principal leadership program.
Yager’s duties as CCMS assistant principal begin immediately.
